An elegant space bathed in natural light, with tables both indoors and out on the sun-splashed patio, Palm Terrace is an all-day dining destination. Start your morning with an indulgent breakfast and a coffee from our in-house barista, or arrive for lunch to discover a captivating menu of inspired plates brimming with the flavours of the Cape. Our considered wine list features some of the Cape’s leading boutique cellars.  Afternoon Tea is an indulgent affair, with a selection of sweet and savoury delights on offer.

With Chef Gregory as your guide, embark on a journey of culinary adventure at de Tafel. Our elegant dinner-only fine-dining restaurant is one of the most exciting new gourmet destinations in Cape Town, offering a multi-course menu that takes its cue from the indigenous flora and flavours of the Cape. Four- and six-course menu options – as well as a plant-based offering – are firmly in step with the seasons, with a honed sense of farm-to-fork dining and ocean-minded sustainability. Our sommelier is on hand to pair the perfect wine with your meal or recommend one of our signature cocktails.

FRIDAY NIGHT STEAK CLUB

Join us every Friday night for Cape Town’s top carnivorous club, in partnership with Langside Meat Merchants and executive chef Gregory Henderson.

Sourced from Langside Farm in the Eastern Cape, each steak brings veld-to-plate quality to your table. Choose from three prime cuts in 180g or 300g options and pair with flavourful sides like truffle fries, wild garlic mashed potatoes, and roasted bone marrow.

Hand-selected wines from WWF Conservation Champion Wineries are available by the glass to round out the experience. Curated to satisfy any appetite, this Friday feast is one not to miss!

Chef Gregory Henderson has created an exceptional seasonal experience that includes four wines sourced from WWF Champion Wines and some of the finest cheese-makers to be found around the country including Langbaken, Belnori and Stonehouse

Served in our intimate Bar 1920 and at Palm Terrace.

It’s a decadent offering that harks back to a bygone era when life was a little slower. Expect an elegant étagère of house-made savoury and sweet bites accompanied by premium teas and coffees.

Palm Terrace Afternoon Tea is served daily between 2pm and 5pm and is priced at R395 per person (minimum two persons. Pre-booking essential).
